Four fire engines and 20 firefighters were called to a fire in a three storey block of maisonettes on Shetland Road in Bow, yesterday evening.
Around half of a maisonette on the ground and the first floors was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 1722 and the fire was under control by 1818. Fire crews from Bow, Bethnal Green and Homerton stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
