Borough premises situated in: The City of London
Responsibility of person on whom notice served: Other person having control
Applicable legislation: Article 29: Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
The general fire precautions in the premises are based around a fire safety engineered solution. The correct function of the engineered solution is reliant on the existing structure, layout, services, fittings, equipment and the anticipated fire loading in or on the premises being maintained. Changes to any of the above matters are likely to result in the fire engineered solution ceasing to provide necessary protection for relevant persons. This will significantly change the risk levels in the premises and may reduce the effectiveness of the fire precautions measures. The Commissioner hereby directs that before making: (a) a change to the premises; (b) a change to the services, fittings or equipment in or on the premises;(c) an increase in the quantities of dangerous substances which are present in or on the premises; (d) a change of use of the premises, which may result in a significant increase in risk, the responsible person (see notes) must notify the Commissioner of the proposed changes.
