Firefighters were called to Biggin Hill airport this afternoon after a Spitfire came down within the airfield’s perimeter.
The Brigade supported Biggin Hill airport fire crews who dealt with the incident. One man was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
Six fire engines and two fire rescue units were initially mobilised to the incident but no action was required by Brigade crews
The Brigade was called at 1339 and left the incident in the care of Biggin Hill Airport Authority at 1439.
