Twenty residents evacuated from a fire at a block of flats on Ursula Gould Way in Limehouse this afternoon.
The residents left the building before the arrival of the Brigade and luckily there were no injuries.
The fire affected decking on a flat roof, part of which was damaged in the blaze.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers from Poplar, Millwall, Stratford and Whitechapel fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 1608 and the fire was under control at 1718. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
