Six fire engines and 35 firefighters tackled a fire at a yard in an industrial estate on Dennises Lane in Upminster, yesterday evening.
Three tipper lorries and a 13 tonne mechanical digger were completely damaged by fire. A small part of another tipper lorry was also damaged by fire.
Fortunately there were no injuries.
Firefighters from Hornchurch, Wennington, Harold Hill, Dagenham and two from Essex County Fire and Rescue service attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 1917 and the fire was under control at 2052.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and Essex Police.
