A member of the public used a ladder to rescue two people from a house fire on Mount Pleasant in Northolt this morning.
The pair were helped to safety from the first floor of the detached property before firefighters arrived on the scene and were treated by London Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation.
The fire damaged around half of the ground floor of the house.
The Brigade was called at 0933 and the fire was under control by 1000. Two fire engines and around ten firefighters from Northolt fire station attended the incident.The cause of the fire is under investigation.
