Firefighters helped around 80 people leave two trains that were stranded between Willesden Junction and Shepherds Bush stations earlier this morning when a power cable fell onto the track.

Station Manager Gareth Cook who was at the scene said:
“Firefighters quickly controlled the fire and it was very lucky that the driver of the JCB escaped unhurt.”
Two fire engines North Kensington fire station attended the scene. Firefighters and officers worked alongside the police and Network Rail to help safely disembark the stranded passengers.
The Brigade was called at 1018 and left the scene at around 12:45.
