Two adults and a baby escaped a fire at a block of flats on Ladbroke Gardens in Notting Hill, early this morning.
The occupants alerted over neighbours to the fire and they, along with four other residents left the building before the arrival of the Brigade. Fortunately there were no injuries as a result of the fire.
Part of a three roomed flat on the fourth floor and a small part of the roof void was damaged by fire. The rest of the flat was smoke logged.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters from North Kensington, Kensington, Paddington and Soho fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 0707 and the fire was under control at 0822. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
