Six people escaped a fire at a coffee shop on Grove Park Road in Chiswick this morning.
Fortunately no-one was injured in the fire which left the basement of the shop damaged by fire and smoke.
Station Manager David Farr who was at the scene, said: “Crews worked extremely hard to stop the fire spreading and to limit damage to the surrounding buildings.”
Four fire engines and crews and officers from Hammersmith, Acton, Chiswick and Richmond fire stations were at the scene.
The Brigade was called at 0747 and the fire was under control by 0901. The cause of the fire is under investigation but is believed to be electrical.
