For the first time in it's almost 150 year history, the Brigade was called to a 'UFO on fire' in the early hours of Saturday morning.
A Brigade spokesperson said: "We arrived on the scene to be greeted with an Unidentified Flaming Object. We aren't sure what it was, but it looked like a pizza oven. We have no idea how it ended up in the middle of the road."
The incident was dealt with quickly and whilst not a UFO, police officers and firefighters were none-the-wiser as to exactly what the object was.
The Brigade was called by the Met Police to assist at the incident at 0135 on Saturday morning and left the scene at just before 0200. One fire engine with five firefighters from nearby New Malden fire station attended the incident.
