Firefighters attended a serious road traffic collision involving two motor bikes and a car on Newington Butts, SE1 this afternoon.
No one was trapped but two people were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
We attend hundreds of road crashes involving motorcycles every year. In response we're introducing Biker Down, in partnership with London Ambulance Service, Transport for London and the Metropolitan Police.
Biker Down! is a free nationwide scheme that was devised by Kent Fire and Rescue Service to provide the tools to help bikers if they’re involved in a crash. To book a place on the course please email bikerdown@london-fire.gov.uk.
The Brigade was called at 1617 and the incident was over for us 1639. Fire crew from Lambeth fire station attended the scene.
