Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters attended a house fire on Keston Avenue in Old Coulsdon, in the early hours of this morning.
One man left the premises before the arrival of the Brigade.
Half of the first floor and half of the roof was damaged by fire.
Crews from Croydon, Wallington and a fire engine from Surrey Fire and Rescue attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 0156 and the fire was sunder control at 0334. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police.
