Two men were led to safety by firefighters after a fire at a house in Charnwood Gardens on the Isle of Dogs last night.
Part of the first floor of a three storey house was damaged by fire.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus led two adult males to safety.
The Brigade was called at 2327 and the fire was under control at 0009. Fire crews from Shadwell, Whitechapel and Millwall fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
