Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a block of flats on Leaden Hill in Coulsdon on Saturday evening (3 December).
The fire caused serious damage to an external balcony and boiler cupboard belonging to a third floor flat. Twenty people left the building before the Brigade arrived and there were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1800 and the fire was under control by 1954. Crews from Croydon, Purley, Norbury and Wallington fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
