A man was rescued by firefighters after a fire at house converted into flats in Trundley’s Road, Bermondsey this morning.
Part of a flat on the ground floor was damaged by fire.
One man was rescued from the property by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 0208 and the fire was under control at 0308. Two fire engines from Deptford and New Cross fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
