Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a shop in High Street South, East Ham this morning.
Part of the ground floor of the building was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 0324 and the fire was under control at 0553. Fire crews from East Ham, Plaistow, Barking, Stratford and Ilford fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
