A man rescued from a fire in a block of flats on Norton Close in Enfield on Monday has sadly died in hospital.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus rescued the man from the first floor flat and he was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service where he later died on Wednesday (December 7).
A woman was also rescued from a neighbouring flat during the incident by fire crews using a ladder.
The Brigade was called at 1842 and the fire was under control at 1914. Two fire engines from Enfield Fire Station attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
