Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a flat on Petley Road in Fulham during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The fire damaged part of a three roomed flat on the ground floor of the converted mid terraced house. A man and a child left the property before the Brigade arrived and both were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation. Crews wearing breathing apparatus also assisted a woman to safety from the first floor of the building and she was uninjured.
The Brigade was called at 0122 and the fire was under control by 0418. Crews from Hammersmith, Fulham and Kensington fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
