Firefighters rescued a woman from a flat fire on Ilbert Street in Queens Park on Saturday morning.
Part of the ground floor flat was damaged by the blaze and breathing apparatus crews led the elderly woman to safety from the flat’s kitchen. She was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene by London Ambulance Service.
The Brigade was called at 0844 and the fire was under control by 0940. Three fire engines and 15 firefighters from North Kensington, Paddington and Soho fire stations were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
