Firefighters have rescued a passenger from the top deck of a bus after it was involved in a collision with a lorry on North End Road in Fulham this afternoon.
Crews used a an aerial ladder platform – a hydraulic platform used for dealing with incidents at height – to bring the man safely down to ground level after he was injured in the collision. He was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
Around 20 other passengers had left the double decker bus before the Brigade arrived at the scene.
The Brigade was called at 1201 and the incident was over by 1252. Two fire engines from Fulham and Chelsea, a fire rescue unit from Chelsea and an aerial ladder platform from Paddington attended the incident along with around 20 firefighters and officers.
