Six people escaped uninjured from a house fire on Frogmore Avenue in Hayes, last night.
The six occupants of the two floor house left before the arrival of the Brigade.
Part of the ground floor of the property was damage by fire.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters from Hillingdon and Southall fire stations attended the incident.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a candle left unattended.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Candles are one of the most common causes of fire. It’s really important that you never leave a candle unattended and keep them away from curtains and anything else that can easily catch fire.”
The Brigade was called at 2356 and the fire was under control at 0030.
