Eight fire engines and 58 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a school building on Nightingale Lane in Clapham. Half of the first floor was damaged by fire.
The building is separate from the main school block. Thankfully no one was injured and fire crews carried out salvage work inside the building.
The Brigade was called at 0607 and the fire was under control by 0805. Firefighters from Clapham, Tooting, Battersea, West Norwood and Lambeth fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
