Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a timber yard on Newyears Green Lane in Harefield.
A pile of around 100 cubic metres of waste wood was damaged by the blaze. A mobile home was also completely destroyed.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental, due to a bonfire gone out of control. Thankfully there were no injures. A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said:
“If you’re having a bonfire at this time of year make sure you never leave it unattended and always keep it away from your home, sheds or fences.”
The Brigade was called at 1840 and the fire was under control by 2038. Fire crews from Ruislip, Hillingdon fire stations attended the scene.
