Firefighters have rescued a man from a roof following a house fire on Strathmore Road in Croydon this afternoon.
The fire affected a two storey town house and left part of a flat roof damaged. Crews used a ladder to bring the man to safety and thankfully he was uninjured.
The Brigade was called at 1401 and the fire was under control by 1505. Four fire engines and 20 firefighters from Croydon, Norbury and Woodside fire stations attended the incident along with an aerial ladder platform.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
