Two fire engines were called to a fire at a terraced house converted into flats in South Road, Erith.
Part of the ground floor of the building was damaged by fire.
Two men were led to safety by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. Another two men and a women left the property before the arrival of the Brigade.
The Brigade was called at 2149 and the fire was under control at 2250. Fire crews from Erith and Bexley fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and Metropolitan Police Service.
