A woman was rescued from a flat after a fire in Glenthorne Road, Hammersmith in the early hours.
Part of a ground floor flat was damaged by fire.
One woman was rescued from the flat by the Brigade and was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 0239 and the fire was under control at 0458. Two fire engines from Hammersmith Fire Station attended the scene.
The fire is believed to have been caused by cooking left unattended.
