Part of a flat on the second floor of the three-storey building was damaged by fire.
Two adults and two children left the property uninjured before the arrival of the Brigade.
The Brigade was called at 0918 and the fire was under control at 1012. Fire crews from Erith, East Greenwich and Plumstead fire stations were called to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
