A man and a cat were rescued by firefighters after a fire at a flat in Friern Park, North Finchley last night.
Part of a flat on the first floor of the three-storey building was damaged by fire.
A man was led to safety by firefighters from a first floor balcony and a cat was recued from the first floor flat. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1925 and the fire was under control at 2055. Two fire engines from Finchley Fire Station attended the scene.
