A suspected gas explosion caused the destruction of a kitchen on Tubbs Road in Harlesden yesterday afternoon.
It is believed that a gas cooker had been accidental left on and then later that day the cooker was lit causing an explosion.
An older man was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
Firefighters but out a small fire in the kitchen and ventilated the property to get rid of the smoke.
The Brigade was called at 1438 and the incident was over by 1548. Fire crews from Park Royal, Acton and Hammersmith fire stations were at the scene.
