Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a flat fire on Belmont Street in Camden this morning.
Part of a four roomed flat on the first floor of a block of flats was damaged by fire. Fortunately a passer-by saw smoke coming from a first floor window and alerted the Brigade, as no one was in the property at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
The Brigade was called at 1052 and the incident was over by 1121. Fire crews from Kentish Town, Euston and Soho fire stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
