Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a disused shop with flats above it on Holloway Road in Islington this morning.
The whole of the second floor and roof of the property were damaged in the blaze. There are no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0630 and the fire was under control at 0820. Crews from Holloway, Islington, Soho, Kentish Town, Euston and Shoreditch fire stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
