Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers dealt with a fire at a range of stables and outbuildings on Moat Lane in Slade Green this afternoon.
Crews cooled gas cylinders to prevent them from exploding in the heat of the fire and most of the out buildings on the site were badly damaged by the blaze.
Fire crews from Erith, Sidcup, Bexley and Plaistow fire stations were at the scene.
The Brigade was called at 1434 and the fire was under control by 1734.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
