Ten fire engines and 72 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a pub on High Street in Acton during the early hours of New Year's Day
Three hundred and forty people and 12 staff evacuated the pub before the Brigade arrived and eight people were rescued from the first floor via a ladder.
The first and second floors and the roof of the three storey building were gutted by the blaze while half of its ground floor was also left badly damaged.
The Brigade was called at 0036 and the fire was under control by 0442. Fire crews from Acton, Chiswick, Park Royal, Hammersmith, Richmond, Willesden, North Kensington and Wembley fire stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
