Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a flat on Wornington Road, Ladbroke Grove.
Part of a flat on the third floor of the building was damaged by fire.
One man was brought to ground level by crews using a turntable ladder. He was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews for smoke inhalation. Two other people left the property before the arrival of the Brigade.
The Brigade was called at 0823 and the fire was under control at 0919. Fire crews from North Kensington and Paddington fire stations are currently at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
