Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a house in Bywood Avenue, Croydon, on Friday (28 July).
Part of the first floor of the semi-detached house was damaged by fire.
A woman left the property before the arrival of the Brigade. She was suffering from smoke inhalation and was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 1709 and the fire was under control at 1746. Fire crews from Woodside, Beckenham and Croydon fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
