Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a restaurant in Bermondsey Street, Southwark, on Saturday (29 July).
Part of the basement of the five floor building was damaged by fire. There was heavy smoke logging throughout the basement and first floor.
Two people evacuated the building and there were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0605 and the fire was under control at 0713. Crews from Dockhead, Old Kent Road, Dowgate and Whitechapel fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
