Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a scarp yard in The Ham, Brentford.
A shelving unit containing tyres and a lorry cab were completely damaged by fire.
One 25kg cylinder was cooled to an ambient temperature.
The Brigade was called at 1631 and the fire was under control at 1913. Fire crews from Heston, Ealing and Richmond fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
