Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a block of flat in Church Walk in Stoke Newington.
Part of a flat on the third floor of the block and part of the roof was damaged by fire.
Five people were evacuated from the block of flats before the arrival of the Brigade. There are no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade’s 999 control officers took more than 20 calls to the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1330 and the fire was under control at 1544. Fire crews from Stoke Newington, Tottenham, Holloway and Homerton fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
