Three fire engines and fire rescue unit were called to a boat alight on the Grand Union Canal, close to Acton Lane in Harlesden yesterday evening.
A houseboat was gutted by the blaze.
Station Manager Lee Walker who was at the scene, said: “On arrival crews faced a boat which was well alight, they worked quickly to extinguish the fire.”
The Brigade was called at 2006 and the fire was under control at 2047. Fire crews from Park Royal, Willesden, North Kensington fire stations and a fire rescue unit from Wembley attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
