Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a house fire on Benfleet Court, Queensbridge Road, Hackney yesterday afternoon (Monday, 15 May).
The fire damaged part of the ground floor and a small part of the first floor. A motorbike was also gutted in the fire. A man and a woman left the property before the Brigade arrived.
Firefighters were called at 1442 and the fire was under control at 1442. Crews from Shoreditch, Islington, Bethnal Green, Whitechapel and Stoke Newington fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
