Two fire engines were called to a fire outside a cinema in Salway Road in Stratford last night.
Part of the cinema’s external fascia and part of a ground floor storeroom were damaged by fire.
Approximately 50 members of the public evacuated the cinema before the arrival of the Brigade. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 2242 and the fire was under control at 2312. Fire crews from Stratford and Leytonstone fire stations attended the scene.
