Firefighters were called to a flat fire on Tyrwhitt Road in Lewisham yesterday morning (Thursday, 19 October)
The fire damaged part of the ground floor property but thankfully there were no injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1050 and the fire was under control by 1134. Two fire engines and 10 firefighters from Lewisham and Greenwich fire stations attended the incident. The fire is believed to have been caused by a fault in a fridge freezer.
