Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a house on Odessa Road in Forest Gate this morning.
The first and second floor was gutted by the fire. Part of the ground floor was also damaged by the blaze in the three floored terraced house.
The Brigade was called after a passer-by driving past in a car saw flames coming from the property. Thankfully there was no one in the building when the Brigade arrived.
The Brigade was called at 0505 and the fire was under control by 0625. Fire crews from Leytonstone, Leyton, Plaistow and East Ham fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
