A woman has sadly died in hospital following a fire in a house on Beechdale Road, Brixton SW2 on Tuesday evening (19 September).
Two fire engines and 10 firefighters from Brixton and Clapham fire stations were called to the scene.
Following the fire on the first floor of the two storey, mid terraced property the woman was taken to hospital where she died on Friday (22 September). A man was also taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation following the incident.
The Brigade was called at 1926 and the incident was over at 2034. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
