Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to sheds and trees alight at the rear of Shirley Gardens in Barking.
A range of conifer trees were alight and two wooden sheds were also destroyed. A brick-built outbuilding was damaged. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers took 30 calls to the fire.
The Brigade was called at 2313 and the fire was under control at 0036. Fire crews from Ilford, Dagenham and Barking fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
