Firefighters attended a road traffic collision between two cars and a van and a trailer carrying three gas cylinders on Woodford Avenue in Ilford last night.
The incident involved a collision between two cars. After crashing, one of the cars then hit the stationery van and trailer that was carrying out roadworks. The van and trailer caught fire.
Two fire engines and 10 firefighters from Ilford and Dagenham fire stations attended to put out the fire and help cool down the cylinders to make them safe. There were no reported injuries.
The Brigade was called at 2240 and the fire was under control by 0041.
