Two fire engines and 10 firefighters and officers were called to a car alight in Offord Road, Islington.
One vehicle was damaged in the fire.
A cylinder was also involved in the blaze so crews made sure it was cooled to an ambient temperature. One man was treated on the scene by London Ambulance Service crews for smoke inhalation, superficial burns and shock.
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 16 calls about the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 0921 and the fire was under control at 1013. Fire crews from Islington and Holloway fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
