Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a hotel on Central Street in Islington last night.
Part of a linen room on the fourth floor of the six floored hotel was damaged by fire. Around 200 people were evacuated from the premises before the Brigade arrived. No injuries are reported.
The Brigade was called at 2058 and the incident was under control by 2144. Fire crews from Shoreditch, Euston, Dowgate and Whitechapel fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
