Firefighters were called to sheeting on scaffolding in a precarious position on New Oxford Street during Storm Eleanor this morning.
One canvas advertising hoarding, approximately 12 metres by 15 metres, was brought to ground floor level safely by London Fire Brigade crews. The duty of care was then left with the on site scaffolding manager and scaffolding team.
The Brigade was called at 0553 and the incident was over for firefighters at 0709. Two fire engines and an aerial ladder platform from Soho fire station attended the scene.
