Six fire engine and 35 firefighters and officers tackled a fire in the basement of an office block on Fleet Street, EC4. The blaze was contained to an electrical intake room in the basement.
Twenty-three people left the property before the Brigade arrived. There were no injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0959 and the fire was under control by 1126. Fire crews from Dowgate, Soho, Euston, Shoreditch and Whitechapel fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
